Mississippi River Cruising

On the second day, my classmates and I went to Mississippi River for cruising after lunch. Mississippi River is not clean water, but it seems to be vast. In the cruiser I tried to talk with many strangers and took pictures with them. ^^ It was so fun to talk with many people in English. When I saw Mississippi River, I tried to find beaver, but I couldn't find one. I remembered that I found some dogs at the shore.

Bethel University

I went to the Bethel University during my staying in Minnesota. Every morning my host father took me there. I met some teachers and learned about Minnesota, American education systems and so on from them.

This was one of my classrooms. It was very American classroom, so I was excited!! I took ESL class and my teacher was Ms. Peggy!! I liked the way she laughed. She was really nice teacher.

They were my textbook and note book. They were so cool! I liked to learn American jokes every morning from Joel who was a main teacher .

There was a school bus. My classmates and I would often ride it and go out together. Thanks for it, I could go many places in Minnesota. Joel and his wife Linda were always together with us. Sometimes their children went out with us!!

The 1st day in America ( part 3)

On that evening we went to the park to join the party. There I met my classmates and their host families. We enjoyed eating dinner and chatting there. I also introduced Japanese culture to Americans. Yumi and I showed how to make Origami and play Taketonbo. I was glad that many Americans were interested in it!!
There was my first dinner in America. They were Hot dog, chip, salad and cookie. I drank Diet Coke! I thought it was my ideal American dinner!! I still miss American foods > <

The 1st day in America ( part 2)

After we finished lunch, we went to Marmar's house and my host house. I knew their house before I visited there because I checked their house with Google map! This was my room. I liked there.
My host family also took me Bethel University. There I met my host father Martin.

This was my host family's pet, Kay. He was funny kitty and 6 years old. He was loved by my host family. My host mother sometimes called him silly kitty! I would often play with him there.^^
