Taj Mahal

I made a model Taj Mahal with my circle members for Circle festival. Our theme was cultural heritage, so we made it. I have seen few historical buildings in abroad. I only remember seeing Opera House in Australia. Perhaps, I saw historical buildings in Korea, but I don't know them so much. To tell the truth, I don't have interested in famous spots. I always talk about western countries, but I like another cultures, too. I like listening to mysterious Indian or Arabic songs. I have some plans about tropical countries like Bali or Guam. My plans are watching beautiful sea, sleeping in a hammock, eating nasi goreng, drinking tropical juice and receiving a massage and so on in the future!!

Enough days

I will go to America in less than a month. But I have to do many things like home works and tests and so on. I have to take some tests continuously on bare days before my departure date. I do not have time enough to think about America. I even forget my birthday is coming soon. Whenever my birthday was coming, I used to expect some presents. But I expect nothing and don't hit on what I want this year. I just want to finish annoying things quickly and enjoy staying with American family on this July!!

Book Review1-10

I read the book "Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". These are two stories in this book. I review the story Rip Van Winkle.
A man lived in a small town in America and his name was Rip Van Winkle. He was a farmer and had family, but he didn't like working. He liked going to the bar, so his wife was always angry with him. One day, Rip and his dog went the mountains all day. When they started to go down the mountain, he heard his name called. Then he saw an old man who had a big barrel. Rip tried to talk with him, but he said nothing. Rip helped him bring his big barrel and they went to a big building in the mountain. There Rip met another old men. They began to drink from the barrel and Rip had a drink from it, too. The old men were strange, but he was not afraid. It was late in the evening, but he stayed with the men and began to sleep. When he opened his eyes, he was under a tree and his dog wasn't there. He stared to go to his town by himself. He looked at the houses and people in the town. The houses and people were not the same. He tried to find his wife and children, they were not there. Rip walked the bar, but the bar was not the same. He tried to talk with people and then he realized he became an old man. A young woman came to him and they talked a little. He knew she was his daughter! According to her, 20years had passed since he went to the mountain and his wife was dead. And the war between America and Britain happened during his missing. Many people didn't believe his story, but one person believed him. Then the people in the town began to believe him. Rip lived with his daughter and her family. He had new friends and often talked them about the war with Britain and their new country, the United States of America!
This story is too short and not so good for me. I think this story is similar to Japanese fairy story "Urashimataro". But I can't satisfy this ending. I expected he returned to be a young man. But he just kept living as old man. It is too short to enjoy this story. I want to change another ending!

House party

Today a house party was held at my sister's friend's house. I visited her with my family and another family because they recently moved into a new house. There we enjoyed chatting a lot. My sister's friend ordered two delivered pizzas for lunch at 12:30pm, but they were not delivered over 50minutes. So we called the pizza shop to complain. Though, we complained once, they still didn't arrived soon. One of the mothers got angry and complained once again!

One mother bought a lot of cake and we ate them while we were waiting for the pizzas. So I ate a piece of chocolate cake, so I became full.



When the pizzas were delivered, it was 2pm. Two mothers went to the front door as soon as a delivery boy came. There they blamed him strongly that he didn't deliver them soon. Though we waited so long time, he didn't discount or make them free. We were finally able to eat pizza, but I didn't eat so much. Anyway, we had a very good time. I wanna live in a big house so that I can invite many people in abroad!

Trouble day

Today was trouble day for me. Today I went to the university for my homework. I met my friend there and we ate lunch together. Later, we went to the foreign students' dormitory to kill time. We enjoyed chatting with foreign students a little time and I went back my home at 5pm. At nearly 7pm, I found myself my electronic dictionary was missing! My family and I tried to find it very hard in our house, because my electronic dictionary is a little expensive for us. I was afraid that someone stole it. Then I remembered I used it at the dorm. So I went there by bike soon and could find it. I was very happy when I found it. I was very hot and tired when I went back my home again. To tell the truth, I lost my umbrella at the university yesterday. I will try to care anything not to lose! > <

Bakery2

This is a choco chips scone sold at the Bakery. We call it choco-pan. I sometimes buy one there. Choco-pans are very popular and sold out soon. My friends also like them. It is hard to find and buy one. But I managed to get one this week!
By the way, I heard scone is from UK before. So whenever I buy this scone, I image English people eat them with tea gracefully in somewhere countryside. I wanna see this situation in real someday!
And I would like to go to foreign bakery shops and buy some bread there. So please take me there!!(> <)

Essay5

The worst day in my life

The worst day in my life was a day when centipede bit me.
That day I finished my dinner before 6pm. There was an exclusive ice cream in my refrigerator. I was looking forward to eating it, so I tried to go to a kitchen. Then I felt a big pain in my right foot. My foot hurt very much, so I cried and my mother realized what was happened. I thought a piece of glass stuck my foot. The moment I moved my foot in a hurry, my mother and I saw a big black centipede. It was very eerie for us. I hurried to wash my foot, but the pain still lasted. We didn’t know about centipede’s poison, so we got into a panic. I saw two traces centipede bit, and it made me unease. I was afraid that I had to cut off my foot. My sister called on a hospital and then ambulance came. I rode ambulance with my sister. Though my foot hurt very much, the emergency services didn’t care me so much and began to some questions. They might believe that I was a not serious patient. We went to a hospital near my house, so I could receive treatment soon. It was very hell for me. Two nurses stuck needle my foot to clear the centipede poison. I managed to bear it, but I felt like crying. My sister couldn’t watch that sight, so she went to anywhere then. And to make matter worse, I had to have a big injection. One nurse tried to inject into my left arm, only to fail. So she tried to do it with my right arm again. I wanted to get angry with her, but I said nothing and still bore that pang. My father came to the hospital by car and then we went back to home. Though I received treatment at the hospital, the pang still lasted. My mother studied the centipede poison from Internet and told me about that. According to the Internet site, centipedes damage our nerves and the pain for their poisons last for 48 hours. The moment I heard it, I was a little shocked, because I had to bear that pain for a long time. I also felt easy, because my life was in no danger. At the rest of that day, I kept enduring that pain and drank medicine. The next day, my pain decreased and disappeared without notice. Anyway, I became a phobia about centipede and never want to meet this tragedy any longer. It was very bad day for me.

Book Review1-9

I read the book "HANNAH AND THE HURRICANE". I review this story.
Hannah was sixteen and lived on an island. She was on holiday from school and was working for Mr. Duval on his glass-bottomed boat. He could only pay a little money, but she liked working there. But one day, a new glass - bottomed boat appeared and it was cheaper than Mr. Duval's. All the people were going on the new boat. Max Marker who was very rich owned the new boat. He suggested to Hannah that they work together. She refused to his suggestion. And people didn't come to Mr. Duval's boat, so he tried to give up his job. The next morning Mr. Duval saw his boat
was under the water. She thought it was Max Marker's work. She wanted to go to his house to see him. Then the hurricane was coming. It pulled trees from the ground and they crashed down on houses. So they were safe in a room. The hurricane went on for four hours. So she went to Max's house. She saw the work of the hurricane and some of his house was gone. Max was inside the house and asked for her help. There were stones and some of the roof on top of him. Hannah managed to save him. Max wanted to pay for her. She said that she wanted nothing. She asked him to pay for Mr. Duval's boat and stop his nasty game!
This story is very short and easy to read. But it was good story for me. I thought Hannah was very cool girl and brave. Recently, I was too busy to read books, but I was lucky to meet this book.^^

My grandparents' house

Today I went to my grandparents' house with my sister. They live near my house, so it takes only 10 minutes by bus to go there. When we visited there, my grandfather cooked Hiyamugi for us. We ate it for lunch. We enjoyed eating and chatting there. My grandfather became 80 years old this year and he likes taking photos. To my surprised, he bought a new digital camera and understood how to use it. So my grandfather took a lot of photos about us. I went to the beauty salon to have my hair cut after leaving them. The hairdresser was her brother of my sister's friend. My sister often visits the shop, so he knew about me from my sister. We talked during my haircut. I like my new hairstyle. (^ ^)!

Foreign student speech contest

Today I went to school to watch foreign student speech contest. There foreign students from USA, China and Korea spoke own topics in Japanese. I was surprised that they could speak Japanese very well. Last year I attended this contest, too. And then foreign students held a concert after the contest. They looked very cool and stars. So I was looking forward to watching this year concert. To my sadly, it was not held this year. So I was a little shocked. But after the contest, a little party was held. I had a lot of time to talk with foreign students. There I happened to meet one Chinese boy. I met him at Daiei where I worked part time job before. He was my customer. Though we met only twice, we remembered each other. So we talked and took photos together! My friend and I enjoyed chatting with many people and I got new foreign friends there. ^^ I will attend speech contest next year, too!!

Japanese teacher

Today I became a Japanese teacher at the Japanese class. I taught easy Japanese to 4 Japanese students who pretended to be foreign students for 20 minutes. I was not tensed up, so I could teach Japanese naturally and loudly. I began to prepare for it from last Friday. So this week I was busy preparing many things. I made a lot of picture and word cards and plan about my class. I bought a lot of paper and some stationery for it. But this week I had a lot of things to do without it. So I didn't have much time to prepare and practice for it. So I was afraid I couldn't teach much time. But I wondered why I was never impatient about it. Yesterday I practiced with my family. They pretended to be foreigners. So my father's English name was George, mother's was Cameron and sister's was Helen. They enjoyed pretending foreigners. Especially, my father played George very hard and it was funny sight. Today I also could enjoy teaching and relieved after my class. My teacher and other students praised me, so I was very happy. I like teaching Japanese but I have little chance to teach Japanese real foreigners. So I hope I can teach Japanese in abroad in the future!!

About my blog

I didn't know about blog until I was given other's blog a half year ago. When I saw other's blog for the first time, I thought I couldn't make the blog such a complex or it was too troublesome to make posts. I supposed that I didn't dare to make my blog. But I began to make my blog and 5 posts a week. To make blog was easier than I expected. I wonder why simple pictures look cool on the blog. I guessed few people checked my blog, but I was surprised many people knew what I wrote. I am like to use the adjective "foreign" and put photos about foods. Some people may feel these posts boring, but I won't change my policy and continue using them. I will do my best to make posts as long as I have nice readers. I seldom read others' blogs , so I will try to read them steadily!!

Postponement

Today I expected that I could get information of my host family at last, but my teacher postponed telling us. I was a little sorry. I had a listening test before this class. To tell the truth, I was too exciting to concentrate the test. Moreover, I have to wait for more one week or two weeks. I am accustomed to waiting, but I don't want to wait any longer. (> <) Today I was a little disappointed, but I happened to meet and talk with foreign friend and it made me happy!!

Kentucky Fried Chicken

Today my father's friend bought my family KFC!! We are lucky to eat it for free. Today I remembered a memory of KFC by accident. But I didn't eat tonight. It was too late for me to eat it. Maybe I will eat KFC for lunch tomorrow! His friend often buys us some foods like 31 ice cream, doughnuts and yakitori and so on. I am happy that my father has a nice friend. ^^ And I wanna compare Japanese KFC with another countries'!!

Book-Review1-8

I read the book" Leonardo DiCaprio". I review his story.
Leonard DiCaprio lived in Hollywood when he was a young. He liked playing and having fun and did not like school. When he appeared on TV at the first time, he was 5 years old. And his brother Adam Starr was an actor, too. He made a lot of money from only one television commercial. One woman in Hollywood didn't like his name, so he tried the new name Lenny Williams. He didn't like it, and quickly went back to Leonardo DiCaprio. He acted in Parenthood and the show was on television every week. But it was not hit and it stopped after four months. In 1991, Leo was in the television show Growing Pains. He played Luke Brower and did the job for a year. And he wanted to try movies, so got some movies and then played with Robert De Niro in This Boy's Life. There he played an important role. Leo auditioned for a part in the movie, What's Eating Gilbert Grape. He was the right man for the job and famous after it. And then he appeared many movies like William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and so on. And he played a handsome boy in Titanic and the movie was a big hit. He got a lot of money. In 1998 he went to Japan for the Tokyo Film Festival, and some fans waited at his hotel for three days!
I watched his some movies and TV show. The movies and TV show I watched were Growing Pains, Gilbert Grape, William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Titanic, The Man In The Iron Mask, The Beach, Gang of New York. I especially like Titanic, so I repeatedly watched it. I think he was the shiniest of his all movies in Titanic. My mother likes What's Eating Gilbert Grape and praised his action. And my teacher also recommended this movie. Johnny Depp was also so cool and good action in this movie. Maybe, after titanic was hit, in Japan a synonym for handsome was Dicaprio. I like Dicaprio, it is because not only he is handsome but also he likes Japan. I heard he liked the Japanese animation Spirited Away. Recently, I don't have much time to watch movies, but I will try to watch his movies in English version!!

Squirrel Fishing

Yesterday I learned about Squirrel Fishing at the writing class. I didn't know that game. I like Squirrels, so one of my plans in America is to find Squirrels near residential area. I really wanna try it and take photo of the moment I fish Squirrels in America!!

Bakery

There is a cafeteria in my university. That shop's name is Bakery. I often visit there to buy breads. I visit there even if I do not buy anything. I like watching and smelling at breads. They make me hungry. And when I go there, I sometimes witness foreign students or teachers stay and eat something. So I appear there a few days a week. I especially like Choco chips melon- bread. I recommend this breads to foreigners. Recently, I realised melon-bread come from Japan. Anyway, this cafeteria is fashionable and fits foreigners. So I wanna take foreign friends and chat there!!

A memorable day in my life

A memorable day in my life is a high school festival day in 2003.
When I was a freshman at the high school, my classmates and I sang “I will follow him” at a stage on school festival day. My high school was Christian and our homeroom teacher taught us English, so we decided to sing it in English. But we had to study very hard everyday, and we did not have much time to practice singing. We all watched the movie “Sister act “and listened this song so many times. We almost had to study from 7:30am to 6pm a day. So we began to practice singing after the classes. I was not good at singing. In those days I liked English, but it was difficult to understand this song’s meaning and memorize this lyric. I also had a question about him that is a part of this song’s title. Then I did not know who he is. So I tried to do my best to overcome these programs. To make matters worse, I had to sing with dance in the center of the stage. I could not dance well, too. I really worried about it. Especially, I did not like dance class in high school days. My classmates cared me and taught me so many times, but I could not improve it at all. I also practiced it repeatedly at my home. The day came soon. I was very nervous before my stage. I watched another classes’ stages before my stage, but I could not enjoy watching them. My stage began at last. I really wanted to run away. My mind went blank as soon as the song began, but I managed to move my mouth. This song is gospel, so I decided to enjoy singing and dancing even if I mistook. My friend enjoyed them next to me. She was a wheelchair user, but very cheerful. Then I expected every audience looked at her not me. Some audiences began to dance together. My feeling became better. I enjoyed singing and dancing with all my might. Our show finished in no time and everyone applauded. So I was very happy and relaxed. I still believe my class was the best of all. And I enjoyed the rest of the festival with my friends. My sister visited my school to see me after my stage. There she happened to meet a photographer and she was taken photo with other students. To my surprised, she largely appeared in the next day’s newspaper. She though he was a just school photographer. It turned out that he was a journalist later. My family was delighted to know it.
I had experienced three school festivals, but this festival was the best for me. Then I was crazy about gospel and sometimes listen gospel songs now. I want to see my classmates again. When I will see them someday, some of them will have their children.

More 6 weeks

Today I realised that I would go to America after 6 weeks. Recently, I was very busy and I didn't know that. I thought I had a lot of time to go there, but it is about time that I began to prepare for it. To tell the truth, I prepare nothing for it yet. I just saved money and bought a digital camera. Maybe, I am familiar with UK than USA. I really wanna enjoy staying in America. So I will prepare many things and make plans from now!! But I have a lot of assignments not later than America. ><

Book Review1-7

I read the book "DEATH IN THE FREEZER".
Ellen had hated her younger brother Al since he was born. Her parents only loved Al. When she was a ten, her mother died and her father began to drink a lot. Later she run away with her boyfriend John. She got three kids, but John did not have real job and she worked as a nurse in a hospital. Her father loved Al, but when he died, Al laughed. Al began a rock band and became famous and rich. She was jealous of him. Then he was crazy about drugs which were a bad thing and became sick. Though she took care of him so much, he gave nothing to her. He became good soon, but he wanted drugs and asked her to steal clean drugs from the hospital. She knew it was crime, but did it. One day, she found that there was Al's body in the cold blue glass case. Dan and Linda Future who run the cryonics company froze him to keep him sleeping. Then they told her that he had AIDS no one could cure. They gave dangerous sleeping drug, and then put him in a freezer and froze his body to - 196℃. They said to her that he wasn't dead and one day a doctor could wake him up and cure. Al singed the contract and they tried to look after his money and house. Ellen thought they just killed him and stole his fortune. She found a good lawyer. They talked at a court. At the first, the Future was blamed. But, Ellen finally lost at the trial. She made him AIDS and killed him, because she gave dangerous drugs with syringes which had bacterias in them to him!!
This story is too long to read and summarize. But I could understand approximate that story. This story was easier than I expected. When I found this book at the library, I thought this story was science fiction. But it was another. Next time I read a book, I want to read more cheerful story!

TOEIC

Today I took TOEIC IP test at the University. It was very difficult and long time. It was 2hours and made me tired. I lost my concentration for test as time went by. I managed to finish it by time limit. Maybe I almost answered by my hunch. I don't want to see my score. ><
After the test, I went to Downtown with my school friends. There we enjoyed shopping a little time. Then I had an appointment with another friend, so I left from them and went to meet her. I met her through my previous part time job and then she was a just temporary staff. She is older than I am by five years. But she is very friendly for me and funny. We went to an Italian restaurant to eat lunch. Then it was over 3pm. To tell the truth, I went there with foreign friend before. Today we ate sandwiches and spaghetti. And we ordered cakes, too!! One was tiramis and the other was pumpkin cheesecake. Then I was not so hungry, so it was so hard to eat it. And I skipped today's dinner.
I like this restaurant, because its atmosphere is similar to Western restaurant. We enjoyed chatting there for a long time. I was happy to meet her. She suggested me that I stay at her house with my sister and we trip European countries. I hope I can so someday!!
