The 1st day in America ( part 1)

It took nearly 19 hours in all to get Minnesota. I left Japan at 3 pm on Monday July 23rd. When I got Minnesota, it was at 12 pm on Monday July 23rd again. The time difference between Japan and Minnesota is 14 hours. I was so excited that I was not sleepy. I met my host family Linda, Sarah, Marmar at the airport. They were waiting and welcomed me there.
We went to Mall of America for lunch after that. Mall of America is the biggest mall in America and the 3rd biggest mall in the world. I was looking forward to visit there before I came here. I was very excited that I could visit there as soon as I got Minnesota. However, we didn't have much time to go around that day, so I just watched some stores quickly.

This was chocolate muffin and the first dish I ordered in America! I ate flight meals and I was not so hungry then. This muffin was big and tasty. I couldn't eat it all, so I brought to host family's house.




This was my host mother Linda's dish. It was like shrimp sandwiches. I tried to eat it a little. I liked it and wanna eat one again!!




This was my host sister Sarah's dish. It was big salad. I was given some from her and I tried to eat. It was also good taste.




This was my host grandmother Marmar's dish. I didn't eat it, so I didn't remember what she ate. I remembered that she gave me chips and I ate it.



I was full at the airport, so I expected that I couldn't have lunch so much. However, I ate all what I was given and I felt I could eat more then. Probably, my stomach became American size from then!
