Saturday noon

She took me a Swedish Church after visiting downtown St. Paul. It was an old beautiful church.There we met my host grandmother Marmar. We walked around this church. I could learn about the history of Swedish who immigrated to Minnesota. We took time to visit a cafeteria in this church and we ate sweets. Anyway, I like this church because I felt like I was in a Disney Movie like Beauty and the Beast.

Saturday morning

On the 6th days morning, I went to St. Paul with my host family.

At first, we went to a market there. There were many foods and different race people. I enjoyed watching many shoppes and eating foods. I ate corn and spring roll there. I remembered that my host mother bought lots of vegetables.
After that shopping, my host mother took me downtown St. Paul. I saw many beautiful buildings and cute statues like a dinosaur, Snoopy and other Peanuts' characters. The author of Peanuts was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. I took photos with the statues of Peanuts' characters.

St. Paul looked like New York or a European city. I really wanted to stay there longer.

Fake birthday cake

Today was not my sister's birthday, but my sister impulsively bought a birthday cake at Swiss. My sister's real birthday is November 25. It was too early for me to celebrate for her birthday. I wondered why she bought this cake there, but I got known her reason later.
She had eaten this cake at her firm before. That's why she just wanted us to eat this cake. My sister made this cake look her real birthday cake. My mom and I celebrated her unofficially.
It was really unexpected birthday party!!

Book Review 2-7

I read the book "LOST LOVE and Other Stories". There were 6 short stories. I will summarize Lost love.
There was a young guy who lived in a city. He wanted to see the country, so he went there with his car. When he drove his car, his car stopped suddenly. He needed to get some petrol and should walk a town. When he got lost, he saw the girl. She was pretty. She asked him to come with her to the village. He followed her. Her name was Mary. There was a village, and it was old and pretty. She invited her house and then he met her parents. They were nice, but looked poor. Their foods were not so good. He liked her, so he didn't mind about it especially. He stayed all day and enjoyed having dinner with them. Suddenly, she asked him to leave there that night. She said to him that there was dangerous there. He didn't want to leave, but had to do that. It was midnight. He walked and walked. He managed to find a town and then got known about that village. One man said to him " There was a village there, but it isn't there now." The man also told him about the history of that village. There happened a war in that village 350 years ago and then people in the village were killed by Oliver Cromwell. He couldn't believe his story. The man also told to him an interesting story. For one day every ten years, it lived again and went away again for another ten years. If a person didn't leave before morning or he would never leave. He loved Mary, so he decided to go back to the village. He now had to wait two months. The village would come again. He would find her again and never leave before morning. He would stay with her.
I will also summarize the other story "The doll" shortly.
Mr Brown was lonely guy. One day, he bought a old doll at a small shop. It was strange and odd doll, but he liked it. He met some unbelievable accidents since he got that doll. He became unhappy day by day. For example, he was disliked by people. He wanted to get it away from him. He tried to threw it again and again. However, it always came back to him. That's why he tried to burn it at his garden. The fire got bigger and bigger. Suddenly there was a loud cry, and people run of his house. There was a big fire round the house and garden. They couldn't find him, but there was a doll near the fire. It was not a pretty doll and there was a smile on its face.
I like this book well. Each stories were short, but interesting for me. This book is level 2, but easy to read. It did not take much time to read. Speaking of Lost love, the guy was crazy for me. He didn't meet Mary so much, but he kept loving her so long time. I think there are many girls like her in the world. I know what this story wants to tell, so I don't say about it anymore. Talking of The doll, I don't like this story so much. The ending was different to what I had expected. I expected its happy end. However, I will recommend my friends to read this book!!

My favorite juice

I like Koiwai's apple juice and orange juice. I liked orange than apple, but yesterday my grandmother bought 6 apple bottles and 2 orange bottles at a supermarket for me. I was shocked that orange bottles were less than apple. I tried to drink apple juice and then it was yummy for me. That's why I am crazy about both of them now!! (^-^)

Japanese teacher again

I became a Japanese teacher at Japanese class again. I made a plan and prepared many things for my class. I wanted to have much time for preparing this, but I was also busy because of Takuma-sai. I didn't have much time to think about this, but I managed to prepare many games, cards and so on. It was the second time that I became a Japanese teacher, so I expected that I did not get nervous. In fact, I got nervous and looked scary. I forgot to smile. > <
My students were only Japanese who pretended to be foreigners. I want to teach Japanese real foreigners someday!!

Takuma-sai

We had School festival called Takuma-sai from Nobember 1th to 3th. I belong to club, so I was busy during Takuma-sai. We sold Japanese noodle Udon. Udon is one of my favorite dishes. Our shop was soso popular and soso busy. I bought one by myself.

We had to arrive at school at 7 am everyday during this time. I was always sleepy and tired.
