Book Review1-3
I read the book "The Wind in the Willows". I review this story. This story's main Characters are animals. There are mole, water rat, toad and badger.
Mole is always curious. Water rat is very kind for his friend. Badger looks scary but he is clever and kind. But Toad is rich and stupid. This story began that Mole met Water rat and they lived in Rat's house together. One day, they met Toad and he showed his caravan. Though he had a nice one, he was tired of it soon and bought a new expensive car. He was a bad driver and so his friends worried about it. In winter, Mole tried to visit Badger's by himself. He did not know where Badger lived. And he lost his way in snow. Fortunately, Rat helped Mole and they could go to Badger's house. There they talked about Toad not to make him drive. One day ,they went to Toad' house to talk with him. They asked him not to drive. But he refused it. So They took him to his bedroom and locked him inside. Though they did it,he could go out of the room. And when he ran away, he found one car and drove it. Then the police caught him and put him in prison. He had to go to prison for twenty years, but one girl helped him get out. When he went back to home again, the weasels occupied his house. The weasels were very dangerous. So Toad ,Rat,Mole and Badger tried to recover his house from the weasels. They prepared guns, sticks and knives to fight the weasels. At last, they could defeat them. After that, Toad reformed and had the party for his friends. And he did no t buy any car more!
This story was a little difficult to understand. There were many characters and animal and human appeared at the same time in this story. I read this story and I thougt Toad's friend were too kind. Especially,I liked Mole. He helped his friends anytime. This story tells that friends are very precious. I felt so from this story. At first, I thougt this sotory was for children, but a little cruel. The reason why is when they fought against the weasels, they had guns, sticks and knives. But I will read many books like this from now on!!
