I read the book"THE LOTTERY WINNER". I review this book.
One day, Emma Carter who was old lady and not so rich walked home. Then one young guy hit her on the head, and snatched her bag out of her hands. She went to a hospital and told the police man about this. In her bag, there was a little money and a lottery ticket. The guy was Jason Williams and very dirty. Emma remembered his face. He happened to read his father's newspaper and found the winning lottery numbers. He thought that he got five million pounds.He was very happy and appeared on the TV. So Emma called the police and he went to the police station. He was asked anything but he said nothing. Anyway, the lottery ticket was kept by the court. Emma and Jonson had to ask lawyers to prove own ticket.At the same time, one lady visited the police station with her baby to see Jonson. She said she was his wife and her story. Her story was that Jonson hit her and their baby and went to back his parents. Additionally, he never gave her any money for them. So she visited Jonson's to get half of his money. She saw him on TV, so she knew he got a lot of money.She also had a good lawyer. Strangely, Jonson said,"I want to give one million pounds to help the children". But no one believed him. Their lawyers aruged about the ticket. But they talked about it in court for days and days. They were very expensive. When they finished, five million pounds were their money. So the winners were the lawyers!!
This story is a little hard to understand. I could not understand main characters. There were many people in this story. And I can not agree that Emma could not get a lot of money. I feel this story is strange. And in this book, Jonson promised that he will give a million money to the poor children, but the reason was not written. So I was distrustful of this story. I want to read the book which is more understandable than this.
